‘Frozen’ at Walt Disney World

With Walt Disney’s “Frozen” a bona fide hit – on its way to a $1 billion worldwide box office return – it was a sure bet that Disney theme parks would take advantage of the adventures of Elsa, Anna, Kristoff, and Olaf. Check out how you can experience the hit film at Walt Disney World in Lake Buena Vista, Fla.

Guests at the Epcot theme park can meet heroine Anna, left, and her sister Elsa, at the Norway pavilion. Epcot is one of four theme parks at Walt Disney World Resort.
-

A new gallery, Norsk Kultur, is now featured at the Norway pavilion at Epcot. The new exhibit explores how the culture and beauty of Norway inspired the filmmakers during the creation of “Frozen.”
-

The exhibit features items such as an authentic hand-made bunad, the traditional costume of Norway; a hardanger fiddle and other handmade instruments; hand-carved artisan furniture; examples of rosemaling (traditional Norse decorative painting) and more.

Norsk Kultur, means “Norweigan Culture.”

“Frozen” was also worked into the resort’s “Celebrate the Magic,” which uses projections to transform Cinderella Castle at Magic Kingdom into a kaleidoscope of Disney characters and stories.
