And it’s not even spring training.

Michael Maurer is opening a Red Sox-themed pub in Southwest Florida, and he wants “every square inch” of the place to feel like Boston, according to a story in the News-Press.

The pub, called “Landsdowne Street”, was scheduled to open today in Bonita Springs, Fla. The pub was modeled after “The Sevens” on Beacon Hill, according to the article, and it’s “focal point is a huge photo of Yankees slugger Alex Rodriguez getting his face mashed by Red Sox catcher Jason Varitek.”

The entire place was built to look like Boston, complete with a replica Green Monster.

“Lining the walls are Red Sox pennants, framed photos of Ted Williams, the 1999 All-Star Game and images of Fenway Park in 1917, 1946 and 1950,” the article says. “There’s also a huge moose head hanging over the front door, a giant stained-glass mural from the 1800s that was brought down from a church in Cambridge, a ladies restroom with sinks from the late 1800s — and a miniature Green Monster lining the back wall.”

The bar will also serve 48 beers, according to Maurer. Sounds like Boston, alright.
