Ray Allen laments UConn loss

Shortly after he said he put his kids to bed, Current Celtics guard and former UConn All-American Ray Allen caught the last four overtimes of last night’s UConn-Syracuse thriller in the Big East Tournament. Allen spoke for about five minutes on the game, the entire time referring to his old team as “we”.

“When it’s my team…I had a lot of choice words for the team,” said Allen. “They didn’t hear me, though.”

  • Released by the Celtics before the start of this season. Darius Miles has found a home with the Memphis Grizzlies.

“I’m glad to be on the team, that’s all,” Miles said before tonight’s game. ” I went through a lot. I’m just glad to be on somebody’s team and back in this league.”

On the chance the Celtics gave him, Miles said, “It was a blessing. I really enjoyed myself. It was something I really needed. To come back into this league I needed to be out here.”
