Boston Celtics

Welcome to the Garden …

TD BANKNORTH GARDEN — Welcome to the Garden, where the Boston Celtics (48-14) will take on the Cleveland Cavaliers (48-12) at 8 p.m. in a crucial Eastern Conference matchup. The winner of tonight’s game gains a leg up on home court advantage for the playoffs.

Just passed Glen “Big Baby” Davis on my way into the arena. Or should I say, he almost hit me with his car. Davis rolled into the Garden’s parking lot at precisely 4:38 p.m., dropping ‘bows as hip hop blared from his black Infiniti SUV. This crucial part of Big Baby’s day was a notable omission to the story we ran on Davis earlier in the week.

Not a single player from either team warming up as I type this, but it’s rather early for an 8 p.m. tip. Ray Allen/Davis, usually the first Celtics on the parquet, should be on the floor soon.

We’re just saying hello here for what should be an exciting evening of basketball at the Garden. Stay tuned for updates, video, and a live chat, later this evening.
