LeBron talks about home-court advantage

TD BANKNORTH GARDEN — Cavaliers forward LeBron James talked about the importance of home-court advantage before tonight’s game against the Celtics. Boston (48-14) trails Cleveland (48-12) in the Eastern Conference standings.

“You do see the standings every day,” said James. “They’re in the locker room, they’re on TV. There’s nothing you can do to not see the standings. When you’re in a position this late in the season you want to try to control your own destiny.

“I think our No. 1 goal is to continue to get better every day and to approach every game like it’s the last.. There’s going to be games where you go out and you play great, and you still may lose, because other teams may make a couple more plays than you make. But we can be satisifed with playing well and losing a ballgame.”
