Boston Celtics

Practice

If the right trade chips fell into place, the Celtics might have gotten Allen Iverson last season. They ended up with Kevin Garnett.

“Practice is very important for us and we understand that,” Kevin Garnett said after tonight’s game. “Doc and Paul stress every time they say something that you can’t get bored with the process.”

The Celtics are a league-best 16-2, but Garnett said he didn’t know his team’s record.

“We don’t feel like we’ve played our best basketball,” said Garnett. “We have so many holes in our defense, and we are obviously aware of our flaws that we try to work on it every day.”

Garnett was happier with his individual play tonight.

“I haven’t been happy with my last week of play or last couple weeks of play and I’ve been watching film of myself and I’m hesitating a lot,” he said. “Tonight I wanted to be a lot more aggressive with moves and having my head up and finishing around the basket.”
