Minutes
Kevin Garnett played just 23 minutes tonight. Paul Pierce and Ray Allen each played 29. Garnett said he couldn’t remember the last time he got that much rest.
The downtime should help the Celtics this weekend.
“If you ever go into a back-to-back situation, it’s an ideal situation for us to be able to spread the minutes around,” said Allen. “It’s still one hell of a flight to go down to Miami in this stage. But this is the NBA. We get paid to do this so we’ll be ready tomorrow.”
The Celtics have another nationally-televised game tomorrow night at 8 p.m.
