Lynn man arrested for human trafficking

Miguel Cabrera faces felony charges of trafficking a person for sexual servitude and deriving support from prostitution.

A Lynn man was arrested last week on a human trafficking and prostitution warrent, police said.

Miguel Cabrera, 34, was arrested Wednesday on a warrant issued from South Boston District Court for trafficking for sexual servitude and deriving support from trafficking, the Boston Police Department announced in a press release. He was arrested by the Lynn Police Department, BPD said.

Cabrera faces felony charges of trafficking a person for sexual servitude and deriving support from prostitution. He pleaded not guilty to all charges, court documents show.

Cabrera is scheduled to appear back in court for a probable cause hearing on May 28, court records indicate.

Bradford Stanton, an attorney for Cabrera, said he has not reviewed the case enough to make a statement. However, he plans to defend Cabrera and denies all allegations.

Police are still investigating the alleged incident, BPD said. The department asked anyone with information to contact the BPD Human Trafficking Unit at 617-343-6533.
