Celtics, 82-41 (3)
It’s a blowout.
The Celtics started the second half on an 11-0 run, turning a 54-31 lead into a 65-31 lead and forcing the Knicks to call a timeout. The run was aided when Zach Randolph was replaced by David Lee with 10:43 left after Randolph picked up his fourth foul.
The Celtics extended the lead to 77-37 with 4:36 remaining in the third, and 80-37 on a Ray Allen three-pointer with 3:38 left. Allen made it 82-37 with a lay-up on the next possession, and the crowd rose to give the home team a standing ovation. Doc Rivers took The PGA Tour out at that point to give his stars some rest.
