An international flight was diverted to Boston Logan Airport Monday due to an “unruly passenger,” police said
At 9:34 a.m., Massport was notified of a disorderly person aboard United flight UA 945 destined to Chicago O’Hare. The plane was coming from Frankfurt, Germany, United Airlines and State Police said in emails to Boston.com.
The passenger was restrained on board and was cooperative when authorities removed them from the plane, State Police said.
The person declined medical attention from EMS, but was transported to a hospital, police said.
US Customs arrested the passenger, and State Police will issue a court summons on a later date, police said.
The United flight was expected to depart to Chicago later in the afternoon, a spokesperson for United said.
