Kenny Morgans, 73; soccer player survived ‘58 Munich air crash
MANCHESTER, England — Manchester United said that Kenny Morgans, who survived the Munich air disaster in 1958, has died. He was 73.
Mr. Morgans became ill Saturday and died in a hospital.
A total of 23 people died when the plane carrying United’s young team crashed at Munich-Riem Airport.
Mr. Morgans made a full recovery. The Welsh winger made 23 first-team appearances for United.
