Alec Baldwin might not be continuing his Donald Trump impersonation much longer. But he isn’t stopping it just quite yet.
Baldwin returned to Saturday Night Live as the president last night in a moment of true crisis: When aliens attack. His take on Trump’s would-be response was hardly Bill Pullman-esque.
“Here’s what we’re going to do: We’re going to bring coal back,” Baldwin said, after repeating Trump’s campaign complaint that “we don’t win anymore.”
After learning that the aliens had vaporized the state of California, Baldwin does find one silver lining — for himself: “So I won the popular vote?”
Well, that’s not quite how it works.
When the aliens (including Bobby Moynihan in full alien makeup) finally do arrive, they are relieved to learn Trump is the group of humans’ leader.
“Really?” asks Moynihan. “This is going to be so easy.”
