Police searching for suspect in Jamaica Plain assault
Boston police are looking for a man who allegedly assaulted a woman while she was walking near Jamaica Pond on Thursday evening. Officers responded to a report of an indecent assault around 10 p.m., according to the Boston Police Department. The victim told the officers that she and a companion were walking on the Jamaica Way side of the pond when a man approached her, assaulted her, and then fled the area. Police described the suspect as bearded man about 6 feet tall and weighing around 300 pounds. “He was believed to be wearing a baseball hat, grey T-shirt, and long pants,” police said in a statement.
