A 21-year-old man died Friday evening in Worcester after his motorcycle collided with a pickup truck, according to authorities.

Officers responded to the area of 463 Lincoln St. around 5:30 p.m. for a report of a crash involving a vehicle and motorcycle, Worcester police said. At the scene of the crash, officers found the driver of the motorcycle unconscious on the ground under a pickup truck.

The man was transported to a local hospital where he was later pronounced dead, according to police.

Police said the preliminary investigation indicates the motorcyclist was traveling northeast on Lincoln Street when he collided with the pickup, which was driving southwest and turning into a local business. The truck’s driver, a 44-year-old Sterling resident, and his 16-year-old son were not injured in the crash, according to police.
