The city’s Election Department has been accepting applications for nomination papers since Wednesday. So far, nine challengers have signed up. Candidates have until May 11 to apply. In order to get on the ballet, candidates must gather 200 signatures from registered voters for most district seats and 1,500 signatures for at-large seats.
