Chelmsford School Employee Indicted on Child Sex Assault Charge

A Chelmsford Public School paraprofessional was arraigned Thursday on charges that he indecently assaulted a young boy.

Christopher Holt, 60, of Lowell, was placed on administrative leave after the allegations surfaced earlier this month, according to a Chelmsfor Public School. He faces a single charge of indecent assault and battery on a person under the age of 14. Judge Stacey Fortes set bail at $10,000.

The Lowell Sun reports that the victim was an 8-year-old boy, though it’s not clear if the boy was a student at the school.

Should Holt make bail, he’ll be required to not have contact with the child, his family, any potential witnesses and anyone else under 16. He’ll also be subject to GPS monitoring and forced to surrender his passport, according to the statement.
