‘Dangerous’ Accused Child Rapist on the Run May be in Denver

Gregory Lewis Southbridge PD

An accused child rapist allegedly on the run after removing a court-ordered GPS device is now believed to be in the Denver area, according to the city’s police department.

Gregory Lewis, 26, of Southbridge, is wanted on numerous outstanding felony warrants. Authorities said he fled Massachusetts after his arraignment last month on two counts each of statutory rape of a child and indecent assault and battery on a child under 14.

Lewis has since returned to his parents’ home in Southbridge, where he allegedly assaulted, robbed and handcuffed his stepfather. Police also believe he was involved in the kidnap, robbery and assault of another victim in Charleston, South Carolina.

Denver Police are asking anyone who recognizes Lewis to consider him ’’armed and dangerous’’ and to call 911.

Lewis is described as a white male, six feet tall and 235 pounds, with brown hair and eyes.

He has two tattoos, including a hand holding a knife with a broken handcuff on his chest and a “demonic female’’ with colored eyes on his left arm.
