Woman Records Drug-Fueled Rant, Unsurprisingly Gets Arrested
For future reference, here’s what not to do if you’re on probation:
Record a video of yourself making fun of your probation officer outside a courthouse, while smoking or inhaling both heroin and cocaine, and then post it online. Oh, and do so while driving a car…when you’re not allowed to drive.
But that’s exactly what authorities say Allison Voner, 23, of Framingham, did, according to The MetroWest Daily News. She was arrested Thursday afternoon.
Framingham District Court Judge Douglas Soddart ordered Voner held on $5,000 bail on an open possession of heroin case after watching the video in his chambers Friday with prosecutor Ben Franklin, probation officer Elisa Currie, and Voner’s attorney John Daly Jr.
Stoddart made his decision without hearing Daly’s argument. The Daily News reports that Stoddart called it “the most incriminating video’’ he’d ever seen as a judge.
Daly tried to convince Stoddart to change his mind by telling him that the video was “comedy,’’ and just one of many “entertaining videos’’ Voner often “Facebooks out.’’
Stoddart responded: “It was entertaining and it was tragic.’’
Voner was also held without bail for violating her probation on a 2013 credit card fraud case, and held on another warrant from Brookline District Court.
Once Stoddart’s decision was made, Voner asked him to send her to a drug rehab facility. Her mother filed a formal request, which Stoddart denied, saying the timing seemed suspect.
Voner is scheduled to appear back in court next month.
