Cars.com’s American-Made Index rates vehicles built and bought in the United States. Factors include where the car’s parts come from, whether the car is assembled in the United States, and the car’s sales.
Models are disqualified if they have a domestic parts content rating below 75 percent, are built exclusively outside the United States, or are soon to be discontinued without a US-built successor.
