Tuesday will begin with some slippery conditions across the Boston area.

Overnight snow showers will end during the morning, leaving a coating to an inch of snow in some parts of the region, according to forecasters. Temperatures will rise during the day, peaking in the upper 30s to low 40s.

Much colder weather is on tap for Wednesday and Thursday.
