These photos and videos capture the terrifying power of Hurricane Irma

Hurricane Irma is tearing its way through the northern Caribbean, leaving thousands of people homeless and without power as it cuts its way north.

As of Thursday morning, at least 10 people were dead. The Category 5 Hurricane caused devastating damage to the islands in its path, including Barbuda, Antigua, Saint-Martin and, Saint-Barthelemy.

Some residents and beach cameras were able to capture the staggering winds, rain, and storm surges as the storm hit.
