New Hampshire has the best ski town in America, according to USA Today readers
A Vermont town also ranked among the best in the U.S.
North Conway has done it again.
The White Mountains destination was again named the best ski town in America by USA Today readers.
USA Today released a list of the 10 best ski towns in America on Wednesday, part of its 2025 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards, and North Conway ranked No. 1. Another New England ski town, Stowe, Vermont, ranked No. 8.
North Conway has been on USA Today‘s list of best ski towns every year since 2016, ranking first place in 2016, 2017, 2020, and 2024.
Here is what USA Today wrote about North Conway:
A ski town in its own right — the slopes of Cranmore Mountain Resort are just a few blocks off of the White Mountain Highway, the town’s main street — North Conway is also a convenient base for day-tripping to other classic New England ski areas like Black Mountain, King Pine, and Attitash. Formidable Mount Washington, the tallest peak in New England, can be explored by snow coach or the venerable Cog Railway, and the town’s cozy hotels and B&Bs promise a warm welcome after a winter day outdoors.
For the 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards lists, USA Today travel experts select 20 nominees in topics from food to lodging, destinations to things to do. Then, the publication asks readers to cast votes to determine the top 10.
