An excellent way to soak up the last days of summer in Boston: A drink on the terrace of one of the best hotel bars in the nation.
The Fed at The Langham was recently named among the 10 best hotel bars in America by USA Today readers, part of its 2024 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards. It ranked No. 4 on the list.
The bars were chosen for their “great atmospheres and stellar mixologists,” wrote USA Today.
Here’s what the publication wrote about The Fed:
Housed in the former Federal Reserve Bank of Boston, The Langham has been lovingly renovated into a luxury hotel. Inside is The Fed, a British-inspired cocktail bar with a wide range of craft cocktails, cold beer, and pub fare. When the weather is nice, enjoy the inviting ambience of The Fed’s terrace.
The bar, which moved up the list from its No. 5 spot last year, serves craft cocktails, beer, and elevated pub fare, according its website.
Hotel officials say they are “thrilled” with the recognition and posted on Facebook: “Thank you so much to our guests and the readers who voted, we are honored and touched by your continuous support!”
The No. 1 hotel bar in America is the Carousel Bar & Lounge at Hotel Monteleone in New Orleans.
For the 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards lists, USA Today travel experts select 20 nominees in topics from food to lodging, destinations to things to do. Then the publication asks readers to cast votes to determine the top 10.
