1. The Grand Del Mar, San Diego

“We stayed at the Grand Del Mar for our 20th wedding anniversary, and elected to bring our kids along based on some of the other positive reviews for family vacationing,” wrote one TripAdvisor user. “Very pleased to report that everything we read is true: this is the rare resort property that works well for everything from family time together to couple time.”
-
2. French Quarter Inn, Charleston, S.C.

“I can’t say enough about the great experience,” one TripAdvisor user wrote. “I’ve stayed at other great hotels in Charleston, but this one is the best of all. This is a small intimate hotel in a great location right in the middle of Old Charleston. Anything you want is a 5 minute walk. The rooms are large and comfortable. The service is amazing.”
-
3. Bardessono, Yountville, Calif.

“My recent stay at Bardesonno was amazing!” one TripAdvisor user wrote. “The grounds are breathtaking with water features that create a calm, spa-like feel. The staff was friendly and service was excellent. We booked two ground floor rooms with private patios in the Magnolia section. The rooms were quiet, well appointed and comfortable. The decor is modern, but still very warm and inviting.”
-
4. Allison Inn & Spa, Newberg, Ore.

“This was a belated honeymoon and based on a recommendation from a colleague,” one TripAdvisor user wrote. “We are new to the area, without a lot of free time, so this was a leap of faith. Our experience could not have been better.”
-
5. Five Pine Lodge & Spa, Sisters, Ore.

“Five Pine Lodge is a wonderful place,” one TripAdvisor user wrote. “The people make you feel like family. The rooms are beautifully furnished and so cozy. The additional accommodation are thoughtful and cozy. Treat yourself to a stay here. You will surely want to come back again. We do and will.”
-
6. 21c Museum Hotel Bentonville, Bentonville, Ark.

“The way the hotel is set they are trying for more of the museum side as opposed to the hotel side but that doesn’t mean the hotel isn’t worth the stay!” one TripAdvisor user wrote. “Very nicely appointed, our room had a couch, table and chairs and an excellent shower in the bathroom. Everything was decorated and finished with top notch articles.”
-
7. Tivoli Lodge, Vail, Colo.

“Our favorite place in Vail,” one TripAdvisor user wrote. “Friendly and cozy; a great place to stay. Staff is very helpful and the location is excellent. You can walk to Gondola or Golden Peak. Short walk to Vail Village and an easy bus ride to Lionshead. Rooms are comfortable and lounge area is warm and inviting. The hot tubs are nice too.”
-
8. The Sherry-Netherland Hotel, New York City

“This hotel is a wonderful place to stay in NYC,” one TripAdvisor user wrote. “It has an amazing location with all the buzz and action outside the hotel but whisper quiet rooms inside. We had a suite with amazing city views. The bed was supremely comfortable and the bathroom was old fashioned luxe – the power shower was truly awesome.”
-
9. Four Seasons Resort Hualalai at Historic Ka’upulehu, Kailua-Kona, Hawaii

“My husband and I spent 11 days at the Four Seasons Hualalai and the best word to describe it is paradise,” one TripAdvisor user wrote. “Our only regret is that we should have spent our entire 21 day honeymoon at this hotel. Instead we spent the remaining 10 days at the Four Seasons Maui, which is stunning but different.”
-
10. The Oxford Hotel, Bend, Ore.

“What an AMAZING!! hotel…..” one TripAdvisor user wrote. “Loved the rooms, the pillow menu, French press coffee, The restaurant 10 below was awesome, great martini menu love my vodka, Brittney was very friendly at the bar but dennis should learn to smile more, weight was nice but needs a few more dumbells and maybe a couple more cardio machines…..
