Conn. troopers arrest 57 for drunk driving over weekend
Connecticut State Police said they arrested 57 people on charges of drunken driving and issued nearly 2,000 speeding tickets over the holiday weekend. Authorities said Tuesday that troopers also investigated 281 accidents including fatal crashes in West Hartford and North Stonington over the three-day weekend. Troopers issued 1,941 tickets for speeding and 718 for seat belt violations. Police used traditional and unmarked patrol cars in a weekend-long enforcement operation.
