3 of the best hotel restaurants in the U.S. are in New England, according to USA Today readers
They are in Connecticut and Vermont.
Hotels aren’t just for sleeping. They also serve up memorable meals and USA Today readers have named three New England hotel restaurants among the best in the nation.
The publication released a list of the 10 best hotel restaurants in America on Wednesday, part of its 2025 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards, and The Wharf Restaurant at Madison Beach Hotel in Madison, Conn. ranked No. 3; The Left Bank at The Weston in Weston, Vermont ranked No. 5; and The Shipwright’s Daughter at The Whaler’s Inn in Mystic, Conn. ranked No. 7.
“Some of the leading restaurants in the United States, led by talented and often award-winning chefs, can be found in hotels and resorts,” wrote USA Today, adding that the winning restaurants on its list “go the extra mile with superior service and one-of-a-kind touches.”

The Wharf Restaurant at Madison Beach Hotel is “the place to be for New England seafood and creative continental dishes,” wrote USA Today.
“You can sit on the open-air porch overlooking the sand and sea or sit in the well-appointed dining room while enjoying brunch, lunch, and dinner on the waterfront,” wrote the publication.
At The Left Bank at The Weston, “you’ll be treated to small town Vermont’s most authentic French brasserie experience,” wrote USA Today.
“Executive chef Bretton Combs has led kitchens for celebrity chefs Emeril Lagasse and Cat Cora, but here he creates a gastronomic feast for locals and visitors that ranges from more traditional steaks and burgers to more daring options like escargot and quail,” wrote the publication.
Finally, at The Shipwright’s Daughter at The Whaler’s Inn “the daily changing menu shows off the best flavors of New England while prioritizing sustainable practices for both the environment and local community,” wrote USA Today.

The No. 1 hotel restaurant is Kuro at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City in Atlantic City, N.J.
