Get 40% off Southwest flights during this three-day sale

A limited-time Southwest sale could save travelers money this winter.

The airline launched a three-day sale on Monday, which takes 40% off qualifying one-way or round trip Basic and Choice fares booked between Oct. 20 and Oct. 23 for travel between Dec. 3 and March 4, 2026.

There are “millions of seats on sale,” according to Southwest.

Continental U.S. travel is valid all days of the week and travel from continental U.S. to Hawaii and international destinations is valid Sundays, Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays. Interisland Hawaii travel is excluded from the deal.

Travelers should note that blackout days apply.

Continental U.S. travel is blacked out Dec. 19-20, Dec. 26-29, Jan. 2-4, and Feb. 16. Continental U.S. travel to Hawaii, international destinations, and San Juan, Puerto Rico is blacked out Dec. 18 to Jan. 6, 2026 and Feb. 12-15, 2026.
