Julian Edelman had a special message for Tom Brady after last night’s Patriots win

He gave his mom a shoutout too.

Julian Edelman was a key part of the Patriots’ 23-21 victory over the Arizona Cardinals Sunday night, hauling in seven passes for 66 yards and showcasing an impressive rapport with first-time starter Jimmy Garoppolo in the process.

But the receiver made sure to send a heartfelt message to his other quarterback during the post-game interview with NBC’s Michele Tafoya.

“We know that Tom Brady’s at home watching,” Tafoya told Edelman. “Wanna say anything?”

“Love you, buddy,” Edelman said. “We’re going to get a couple more for ya — a few more.”

Edelman also made sure to add “love you, Mom” before finishing his interview, just so no one was feeling left out.

With Brady unable to appear at team facilities or have any contact with Patriots personnel during his four-game suspension, it’s probably nice to hear a message of love from one of his favorite targets on national television.
