The commander in chief weighed in on Deflategate during the Patriots’ visit to the White House today, but his joke didn’t go over so well with Patriots head coach Bill Belichick.

“I usually tell a bunch of jokes at these events, but with the Patriots in town, I was worried 11 out of 12 of them would fall flat,’’ President Obama quipped, referencing Chris Mortenson’s report regarding the air pressure inside the Patriots footballs during the AFC Championship Game.

Belichick gave Obama a thumbs down for the joke, to which Obama replied, “That whole story got blown a little out of proportion.’’
