Darrelle Revis came to New England to win a Super Bowl, but he may have always thought of New York as home.

Shortly after Revis’s agents announced that the free agent cornerback would be returning to the New York Jets, the man himself sent out the following Tweet to express his gratitude to the Patriots and their fans for his year in Foxborough, but showed his true feelings about where he believes he belongs.

Revis, a native of Aliquippa, Pennsylvania, spent the first six years of his career with the Jets, but was traded to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers prior to the 2013 season. After being cut by the Bucs prior to the start of the 2014 league year, Revis signed a two-year, $32 million deal with the Patriots, but it was reported the cornerback was interested in going back to the Jets before he inked the deal with New England.
