OXFORD, Miss. (AP) — Justin Dunn struck out 11 batters and gave up just two runs over seven innings to lead Boston College over Tulane 7-2 in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament’s Oxford Regional on Friday.

Jake Palomaki’s groundout in the third inning drove in Donovan Casey and moved Logan Hoggarth to third base. Hoggarth then scored on wild pitch to give Wake Forest (32-20) a 2-0 lead. Nick Sciortino added a two-run single in the top of the sixth.

Tulane responded with two runs in the bottom of the inning to pull within 4-2, but couldn’t score again against the right-handed Dunn (4-1).
