After 15 innings of baseball, the Red Sox had plenty of energy to celebrate

During the bottom of the 15th inning on Tuesday night, Red Sox designated hitter Hanley Ramirez launched a high deep drive into the Green Monster to give his team the 5-4 win over the Toronto Blue Jays.

In a game that ended at 1:09 a.m. — and lasted one minute shy of five hours — Ramirez’s homer alleviated his team’s bullpen after Saturday afternoon’s Sox-Yankees contest went 16 innings just three days prior. The early morning hours, however, didn’t stop the team from enjoying an ecstatic on-field celebration.
