Morning sports update: Chris Sale anticipates a ‘fun time’ pitching against his former team

Pitcher Chris Sale is set to face his former team in Chicago, as the Red Sox take on the White Sox Tuesday night.

Chris Sale expecting ‘fun time’ against former teammates: “I’m playing against my friends. It might be hard not to smile out there on the mound at a couple of them. It’s fun. These are my buddies. It’s going to be a fun atmosphere and a fun time.” (ESPN)

Price uneven in season debut, White Sox get past Red Sox 5-4: Price, who missed the first part of the year with a strained left elbow, walked two, hit two batters and surrendered Cabrera’s three-run homer in the third. But the 2012 AL Cy Young Award winner had some nice moments as well, allowing just two hits and striking out four while throwing 88 pitches, 58 for strikes. (Boston.com)
