Morning sports update: David Price says arm injury is ‘out of my mind’

The Patriots continue to wheel and deal in NFL free agency, while March Madness kicks off with the two “First Four” tournament games on Tuesday night.

David Price says his arm is feeling a lot better: The 31-year-old said his range of motion has returned to normal, illustrating the point by bending his arm into an “L” shape, straightening it, and turning over his hand to replicate the movements needed to throw a baseball. (Boston Globe)

New Patriots CB Stephon Gilmore names daughter Gisele, but not for reason many think: “I actually named her Gisele Sienna Gilmore,” Gilmore said on a conference call Monday. “My wife’s name is Gabrielle, so we thought of a ‘G’ name and we picked Gisele. She was seven pounds, eight ounces. I don’t know how long she was, but it was a blessing when she came into this world.” (WEEI)

Dont’a Hightower leaves without deal after visiting Jets: ESPN reported that Hightower, who turned 27 on Sunday, was taken out for dinner by the team and given birthday cupcakes to help celebrate. “Happy Birthday Dont’a Hightower” was shown on the screens inside the Jets’ facility in Florham Park, New Jersey, and the team sent Hightower’s mother some Jets merchandise.
