Field staffs announced
The Red Sox today announced the 2008 field staffs for the team’s minor league affiliates. Four new individuals have been hired for 2008: Kevin Boles (manager at Single-A Greenville); Rich Sauveur (pitching coach at Triple-A Pawtucket); Billy McMillon (hitting coach at Single-A Greenville); and Luis Lopez (hitting coach at Single-A Lowell). Six other coaches have been assigned to different clubs in the Boston organization.

Hitting Coach: Russ Morman—Moves to Pawtucket after four seasons at Double-A Portland

Pitching Coach: Mike Cather
Hitting Coach: Dave Joppie—Moves to Portland after two Single-A seasons, 2007 at Lancaster

Pitching Coach: Mike Griffin—Moves to Lancaster after five seasons at Triple-A Pawtucket
Hitting Coach: Carlos Febles—Moves to Lancaster after spending 2007 at Single-A Lowell

Manager: Kevin Boles—Joins Boston organization after four seasons managing in the Minnesota organization, the last two at Single-A Fort Myers…Has 386-358 career record as minor league manager.
Pitching Coach: Bob Kipper—Moves to Greenville after spending 2007 at Lancaster
Hitting Coach: Billy McMillon—Will make professional coaching debut…Was an outfielder in the majors with Florida, Philadelphia, Detroit, and Oakland.
