Okajima in lead
Hideki Okajima has a narrow lead over Tigers pitcher Jeremy Bonderman in the Monster 2007 All-Star Final Vote contest for the American League, according to a press release from MLB. The contest ends tomorrow night, with the winner earning the final spot on the AL All-Star team.
Okajima and Bonderman are followed by Pat Neshek of the Minnesota Twins; Kelvim Escobar of the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim; and Roy Halladay of the Toronto Blue Jays, according to the press release. The vote totals were not given, but more than 15.5 million votes have been cast in the contest, according to the statement.
