The Red Sox plan to start Monday’s Patriots Day game against the Angels at 10:05 a.m., according to a statement released by the team. The team plans to open the gates to Fenway Park at the regularly scheduled time of 8:05 a.m.

“The Red Sox will make every effort to play Monday’s game,” the statement reads. “However, the ballclub wants to alert our fans to the current forecast for the Fenway area on Monday and that the possibility of delays does exist.”

The current forecast calls for rain to decrease in intensity by 8 a.m. Monday.

Josh Beckett is scheduled to start for the Red Sox, while Ervin Santana is listed as the starter for Los Angeles.
