Who will the Celtics take with the No. 3 pick?

Debate the answer with Chad Finn and Boston sports fans at The Sports Q.

Welcome to Boston.com’s Sports Q, our daily conversation, initiated by you and moderated by Chad Finn, about a compelling topic in Boston sports. Here’s how it works: You submit questions to Chad through TwitterFacebook, email, his

Friday chat, and any other outlet you prefer. He’ll pick one each day (except for Saturday) to answer, then we’ll take the discussion to the comments. Chad will stop by several times per day to navigate. But you drive the conversation.

Provided Danny Ainge keeps it, of course. And who the heck knows with that.

The theory is that the target is Kansas forward Josh Jackson, but his shot is ugly – who needs the Marcus Smart of forwards? — and so is some of his personal history; he is a real risk.

A Celtics source during the regular season told me Ainge loves Jayson Tatum, the polished freshman from Duke whose skill-set fits this roster. He’d contribute immediately.

Wouldn’t it be something if this was all a setup to get Lonzo Ball, the player who sure looked like the primo prize during much of his high-profile freshman season at UCLA.

And if for some reason they trade down even more – say, for the Nos. 5 and 10 picks from the Kings – let’s say this: It would not shock me if D’Aaron Fox ends up being the best point guard in this draft.

I think Jackson is the pick, but Tatum wouldn’t surprise me at all.

What do you guys think? Who will the Celtics take at No. 3? And who should they take? I’ll see you in the comments.
