Watch Jaylen Brown show off his skills in a new offseason workout video
"Time to get back to that grind."
After witnessing his tantalizing rookie campaign, Boston Celtics fans will be pleased to learn that Jaylen Brown is on a mission to go from being “the kid with potential” to “the kid in the now.”
“Time to get back to that grind,” the 20-year-old said in the premiere of “Hone The Pressure, It Makes Diamonds,” a YouTube series dedicated to his offseason journey.
“We got stuff to prove. To ourselves,” Brown’s older brother, Quenton, says in the video’s intro, which was released Wednesday.
The 15-minute episode shows Brown performing different exercises using an assortment of fitness equipment, including an agility ladder, soft medicine ball, and resistance band. It closes with him working on his dribble and shots on court at Wheeler High School, where he graduated in 2015.
“First day back in the gym, and we went hard,” Brown said. “Trying to work on ball handling, staying low, pick-and-roll, being more of a play-maker this year.”
