With the NBA Finals kicking off Thursday night, Jimmy Kimmel debuted an all-NBA edition of his popular “Mean Tweets” segment. While no current Celtics were on hand to read social media insults about themselves, two former Celtics made appearances.
Shaquille O’Neal laughed it up while reading his mean tweet (“I don’t think Shaq is dumb, but he sure sounds like it”) before giving the camera a death stare. Meanwhile, former Celtics coach Doc Rivers wiggled his eyebrows after reading a diss about his minimalist hairstyle (“Doc Rivers hairline fufu as hell, that’s just his forehead wrinkled up”).
Some of the other roasted ballers included Los Angeles Clippers center DeAndre Jordan (I bet DeAndre Jordan is so bad at free throws because his eyes are so close together”), Houston Rockets guard James Harden (“James Harden always looks like he’s just about to lead the Israelites through the Red Sea”), and Pacers forward — and rumored Celtics trade target — Paul George (“Personally I think Paul George could be traded for like half a bag of Saltine crackers”).
