Draymond Green tells Isaiah Thomas to ‘just get through that series bro’ in budding feud with Celtics

Draymond Green is at it again.

It all started on Monday when the Golden State Warriors power forward called Kelly Olynyk a “dirty player” in the latest episode of “Uninterrupted,” a podcast he co-hosts with sports columnist Marcus Thompson II.

“He’s dirty,” Green said. “Dirty player. Man, I don’t respect guys like that. I know he’s not like the greatest basketball player of all-time so maybe he feel like he’s got to, like, do that. Just dirty. I don’t respect that, man. He’s dirty.”

A number of members of the Celtics squad took issue with Green’s comments, including head coach Brad Stevens, Al Horford’s sister, and All-Star point guard Isaiah Thomas.

“I don’t know how he can call anybody dirty,” Thomas told reporters on Tuesday. “It’s a joke that [Green] said that. The playoffs, everything somebody says is blown out of proportion. Everything somebody does is blown out of proportion as well. We can’t worry about what others are saying or doing.”

Shortly after ESPN’s Chris Forsberg shared Thomas’ interview on Twitter, Green clapped back with this subtweet:

The Celtics and Wizards are tied at two games apiece in a heated second-round playoff series. Game 5 is Wednesday night in Boston.
