Big help for Perkins
Celtics center Kendrick Perkins spoke today about the return of Kevin Garnett, as well as playing with, not against, Rasheed Wallace.
“It felt good [to scrimmage with Garnett last week],” said Perkins. “We were on the same team. Just us hitting each other with passes for dunks and stuff like that felt good. Me and Kevin have a great relationship.”
On Wallace, Perkins said, “It was cool. I like playing with Rasheed. Obviously he’s a great passer. We all know he can shoot. He’s got great post moves. He’s a great defender. But really I just wanted to see how he was outside of basketball, and he’s a great guy in the locker room. Personality is great and everything.”
Perkins said Wallace’s personality was different than he expected.
“I don’t know,” said Perkins. “I was waiting to see. He’s kind of scary.”
