Rare company for Rondo
Rajon Rondo picked up his third triple-double of the playoffs tonight. The only other Celtics player to record three triple-doubles in a single playoff season was Larry Bird in 1986.
Rondo said he was relieved to come out stronger tonight than he did in Game 1, but he only gave himself a B+ for his effort.
“It really wasn’t my A game,” said Rondo. “I really didn’t shoot the ball well. I tried to get guys open. I was trying to do the intangible things on the floor, my offensive game wasn’t flowing for me. I tried to pick it up defensively and get my guys going early.”
