The Celtics are shooting 45 percent to Detroit’s 42 percent. The Pistons are being led by Rasheed Wallace, whi has 9 points and 3 rebounds.

Kendrick Perkins is leading the Celtics with 8 points and 8 rebounds. He appeared to have his putback attempt goaltended at the end of the quarter, but no call was made.

Paul Pierce has 8 points and 2 rebounds for Boston.

  • Kevin Garnett was called for a clear-path foul on Chauncey Billups at the 1:18 mark. Billups made both free throws, but the Pistons could no convert on the ensuing possession.
