Something’s missing…
…and I’m pretty sure it’s pre-game excitement. Players were scarce in both locker rooms, and the press conferences from Flip Saunders and Doc Rivers lacked any real nuggets of information. The biggest story of the evening has been Tony Allen’s injury, which, while unfortunate for Allen, should have little or no bearing on the series.
At one point, the number of Boston Globe employees in the Celtics locker room outnumbered the number of Celtics players, 8-2. As a rule, the players talk less and less as the games become more important.
If there’s a Game 7 here Sunday, it’s going to be a ghost town.
