Pistons, 78-69 (3)
Could the home winning streak come to an end tonight for Boston?
The Pistons and Celtics both showed some life in the third quarter, but a three-pointer by Rasheed Wallace stretched Detroit’s lead to nine, which has to be disconcerting for the Celtics, who had played their way back into the game.
Rip Hamilton is pacing Detroit with 21 points. Paul Pierce has 22 points for Boston. The Celtics are allowing the Pistons to shoot 48 percent, which cannot happen if they expect to win the game.
Remember Ray Allen? Well he’s back.
Allen had 8 points in the third, and he was infinitely more aggressive than he was in Game 1. It’s like someone just reminded him that he was Jesus Shuttlesworth in “He Got Game.”
