Celtics, 72-63 (3)
What a difference a quarter makes.
After playing listless basketball in the first half, the Celtics looked like a different team in the third quarter, outscoring the Cavs 29-17. Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett carried the load, combining for 13 points.
With some lights-out shooting, the C’s raised their shooting percentage from 41 percent to 51 percent for the game.
LeBron James was stuck on 23 points until he got his first basket of the second half with 44 seconds left in the third. The C’s are swarming him every time he touches the ball.
One more to go.
