Gerald Green checked into the game with 1:09 left in the first quarter. He looked sick as a dog in the locker room before the game, but as the only guard on the Celtics bench, Doc Rivers said he had to give Green some minutes.

Green dropped a pass from Sebastian Telfair on his first touch on offense, then promptly missed a three pointer on his next trip.

Al Jefferson had eight points in the first period. He played all 12 minutes, as did Ryan Gomes, Rajon Rondo, and Kendrick Perkins.

Leon Powe is the only available Celtic who has not yet entered the game.
