Doc Rivers was pleased with his team’s defense on Shaquille O’Neal. Boston limited Shaq to two points in the second half.
“I thought Perk and Kevinn (Pinkney)and Leon (Powe) did a nice job of pushing under,” said Rivers. “We just kept saying, ‘Below the waist, not above the waist.’ You have no chance if you try to fight him above the waist … And I thought we did a nice job of every other time — one time we would trap, the next time we wouldn’t.”
