Fans still coming
The Celtics have 21 wins, but an appreciative crowd stood and cheered Monday night’s win over the Toronto Raptors. The Celtics have drawn very well this year.
“Boston is different,” said Celtics coach Doc Rivers. “They love sports here. They love the Celtics here. And I think that’s why. I’ve played in an arena [in Atlanta] where we were in a playoff game and drew 8,000. The fans [in Boston] appreciate the sport. You’re a fan or you’re not, and I think that’s how the Boston people think of it. They’re fans and they’re going to stay fans. People here are just loyal to their team. And it’s a neat thing to be involved with.”
